UNE Briefing Session on the review of the ISO 9001 Standard

30/04/2024

On 29 April, a briefing session on the review of the international standard ISO 9001, the most widely used quality management tool in the world, was held at the headquarters of the Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE.

The aim of the session was to encourage the participation in the review process of experts from Spanish organisations through the UNE Committee on Quality Management and Conformity Assessment (CTN-UNE 66) of the Spanish standardisation bodies, which channel the voice and national interests in the ISO international committee in charge of the review.

The session also offered an overview of international and European standardisation activities in the framework of quality management and conformity assessment (audits, inspection, certification, etc.), to raise awareness of their importance.

Guest speakers: Paloma García and Tania Marcos, from UNE; Avelino Brito, from the Spanish Association for Quality; Pedro Pablo Morillas, from Canal de Isabel II; Ignacio Pina, from ENAC; Emilio López Cano, from Rey Juan Carlos University; and Pilar García Martínez, from ACCIONA.
