Gender equality standards and human capital reports are the focus of the UNE Human Resources Committee session

01/03/2023

The Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, will be hosting the event Standards for human resources management: Open session of the UNE 314 Committee, at the UNE head office.

Standards for the correct management of gender issues in organisations and for the elaboration of human capital reports with a focus on practical application were at the centre of the event.

In particular, the future international standard ISO 53800 Guide for the promotion and implementation of gender equality and women's empowerment, which is being developed within the International Organisation for Standardization and which will become the first ISO international standard, was examined. Spain participates in the preparation of this standard through the UNE Gender Equality Committee.

ISO 30414 was also presented, a guide for internal and external human capital reporting that improves management for the organisation.

The chair of the UNE Committee on Human Resources Management (CTN 314) also interviewed some of its members about the value that being an active part of international standardisation brings to their profession and their organisations.

For another year, this UNE Committee has prepared a highly-interesting programme for managers and professionals in this field who are present in all companies and organisations, either as internal staff or subcontracted by a specialised consultancy.

The session was attended by Maria Luisa Riobóo, Corporate General Manager of PSICOTEC and Chair of the UNE 314 Committee; Val Díez, Managing Director of STANPA, President of the CEOE Commission for Equality and Diversity, and Chair of the UNE 194 Committee for Gender Equality; Juan Carlos Paez, CEO of PHEMSOFT LLC; Paloma García, Director of Standardisation Programmes and Stakeholders at UNE; and Elena Ordozgoiti, Secretary of the UNE 314 Committee.
