UNE welcomes 26 new members

17/04/2024

On 17 April, the welcoming ceremony for the 26 new members who joined the associative base of the Spanish Association for Standardisation, UNE, between February 2023 and January 2024 took place at the headquarters. During the session, they were able to learn more about the functioning of the Spanish standards organisation and the pillars of the 2025 Strategy in order to respond to the major challenges and the needs of members, as well as the benefits of joining the UNE association base.

The event was attended by UNE's President, Alfredo Berges; the Director-General and Vice president of ISO, Javier García; the Deputy Director General of UNE, Julián Caballero; and the Coordinator of Organisations and Institutions, Fernando Machicado.

Being a member of the Spanish Association for Standardisation means belonging to a large national, European and international multi-sector network and being part of an exemplary model of public-private collaboration. Members include relevant national industry associations, large companies, SMEs, universities, professional associations, research centres and public administrations. All of them are leading entities that have committed to UNE as a place from which to contribute to the shared progress of society and to the creation of a safer, more sustainable, and more competitive world.

With these additions, the Spanish Association for Standardisation expands its membership base, which currently has more than 500 members. UNE members are the real driving force and support of the standardisation system, representing virtually all of Spain's business and economic fabric.

Individuals and entities interested in business excellence and social awareness have a place in UNE as corporate members (sector associations), members (companies and institutions) and individuals.

UNE's membership distinguishes organisations with a superior strategic view of their value contribution to their sector and the Spanish economy as a whole. The entities that have recently been incorporated into UNE as members are:
