UNE presents its 2025 Standardisation Awards

  • ​​The Spanish Association for Standardization has presented the UNE 2025 Awards, which recognise the contribution of individuals and organisations to standardisation. 12,500 experts from 4,300 organisations participate in the development of technical standards.

  • The UNE Standardisation Awards for the most outstanding Technical Committee, Chair and Member have been awarded, respectively, to the UNE Committee on Gaseous Fuels and Gas Installations and Appliances, whose secretariat is led by SEDIGAS, and to the UNE Committee on Lifts, Escalators and Moving Walkways, whose secretariat is run by FEEDA. to Antonio Valladolid, from the UNE Committee on Lamps and Associated Equipment; and Ismael Caballero, managing partner of DQTeam. The UNE Standardization and Innovation Award has been awarded to AIMPLAS.

Madrid, 29 May 2025 - The Spanish Association for Standardization has presented its UNE Standardization Awards 2025, which recognise the commitment and professionalism of the Standardisation Committees and their members. UNE President Alfredo Berges and Vice President Luis Rodulfo were responsible for presenting the awards at an event during the General Assembly of the Spanish Standardization Organization, held on May 28.

The winners in the four categories that make up the UNE 2025 Awards were:

  • The López Agüí award to the most prominent UNE-TSC: CTN-UNE 60 Gaseous fuels and gas installations and appliances, whose secretariat is led by SEDIGAS; and CTN-UNE 321 Lifts, escalators and moving walkways, for which FEEDA is responsible for the secretariat. This recognition has been awarded for the positive impact of the activities of both UNE Committees on organisations in their respective sectors, as well as for their dynamism and professionalism in complying with the procedures established in the standardisation system. Francisco José Sichar, secretary of CTN-UNE 60, and Henar Gozalo, secretary of CTN-UNE 321, received this award.

  • ​​ UNE Award for the most outstanding UNE-TSC or UNE-SC: Antonio Valladolid, in recognition of his important work as a driving force and promoter of the activities of CTN-UNE 205 Lamps and associated equipment, leading its Presidency for years during which he has maintained his leadership and involvement.

  • UNE Award for the most outstanding CTN-UNE or SC-UNE representative: Ismael Caballero, managing partner of DQTeam, for his outstanding interest and involvement in the work of CTN-UNE 71/SC 7 Software engineering and information systems, as well as its commitment to European and international standardisation bodies.

  • UNE Award for the Integration of Standardization in Innovation: AIMPLAS technology centre, in recognition of its outstanding contributions to applying and promoting the integration of standardisation in R&D&I activities. Eva Bejarano, Head of Tenders and Standardisation at AIMPLAS, received this award.

This annual event highlights the work carried out by more than 200 Technical Standardisation Committees, involving 12,500 experts from 4,300 organisations in various sectors of activity. The aim of these UNE Committees is to contribute, through the development of technical standards, to the sustainable growth of the Spanish productive fabric and to the shared progress of society.

It also aims to promote the multi-sector collaborative environment represented by the Spanish Standardisation Body, as well as strengthening the associative model as a guarantee of an effective response to the needs and challenges of Spanish companies in areas such as the dual ecological and digital transition, ESG (environmental, social and governance) principles, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, and market access, among others.
