Spain very close to 32,000 technical standards

14 October is World Standards Day.

• Standards have financial benefits and can generate up to 5% of sales income for a company, according to an ISO study carried out by organisations in different countries. For the Spanish economy as a whole, they account for 1% of GDP.

• Increasing numbers of Spanish standards are the model for European or international documents in fields such as accessibility, innovation and ecodesign.
