The November 2021 issue of UNE Magazine is available now

​The latest issue of the UNE magazine is now available: 

• Promoting the standardization of renewable energies. UNE has set up five technical standardisation committees that focus on solar photovoltaic energy, wind power generation systems, fuel cell technologies, marine energy and solar thermal power stations.

• Standards in support of renovation. The standards are reliable tools that support building renovation activity driven by two new royal decrees within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
• Building renovation. Many UNE standards allow for the optimal renovation of buildings. Among other aspects, they include lighting requirements, thermal insulation products, heating or water supply systems.

• Interview with César Luaces, General Director of Federación de Áridos. Federación de Áridos-FdA represents the natural, recycled and artificial aggregates production industry. Among many other advantages, standardisation allows us to adjust the production processes of this industry to offer products with high standards of conformity, providing confidence and security to the market.

• Fire-fighting water supply systems. The UNE 23500 Standard consolidates issues such as adaptation to new technologies, application to all types of systems and the search for technical coherence with the multiple sectoral references established as applicable UNE-EN standards. This 2021 edition replaces the 2018 standard, corrects detected errors and respects the doubts addressed over the last few years.

• STANDARDIZATION IN ACTION: CTN 111 Medical and surgical devices. The more than 250 standards of this committee must be reviewed and adapted to the requirements of the Regulation on Medical Devices, which came into force this year. Standards are a key tool for manufacturers to demonstrate that their product complies with the applicable European and national laws.

• Standards for the 2025 Spanish Digital Agenda. The 2025 Spanish Digital Agenda seeks to promote the digital transformation process of Spain in a way that is consistent with the European Union's digital strategy, and standardization is a key ally to achieving it. This was established during the seminar "Standards for the 2025 Digital Spain Agenda" organized by the Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, in collaboration with the Secretary of State for Digitization and Artificial Intelligence (SEDIA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation.
