The new version of the standard UNE-EN ISO 17025:2017 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories is now available. The standard specifies the general requirements for the competence, impartiality and consistent operation of laboratories.
The standard applies to all organisations performing laboratory activities and covers all sectors (food, cement, etc). In addition, the standard facilitates cooperation between laboratories and other organisations as well as the harmonisation of procedures.
This version replaces the 2005 standard.
