UNE standard 216701 on the Classification of energy services providers has been published. Directive 2012/27/EU and its incorporation into RD 56/2016 regulate the figure of the Energy Service Provider (ESP) and permit this figure a wide variety of actions.
Con el fin de contribuir a la transparencia y al acceso a los servicios energéticos, la norma UNE 216701 establece una tipología de PSE en función de estas actuaciones incluyendo, dentro de cada tipo, una categorización en función de sus recursos y experiencia.
The standard, that rescinds AENOR Specification (AE) 0055:2016, accommodates both PSEs that perform small actions and organisations and groups of companies that perform large investment actions. There is also a category zero for those ESPs that still have no experience.
This specification establishes the requirements a specific service provider must have to be classified into one or more of the categories established, so that the different ESPs can be accurately compared and described.
This standard has been drawn up by the technical committee CTN 216 Renewable energies, climate change and energy efficiency.
