The Spanish Association of Electrical Equipment Manufacturers (AFME) has participated in a trade mission in Nigeria and Ghana, backed by ICEX Spain Exports and Investment. The following companies participated in this initiative: AISCAN, ARTECHE, GRUPO TEMPER, HIDROSTANK, PORTALÁMPARAS Y ACCESORIOS SOLERA, RTR ENERGÍA, SOFAMEL, and TOPCABLE. In both countries, the electricity grid does not reach a significant portion of the population and is prone to frequent power cuts. Indeed, these issues are much more acute in Nigeria. Therefore, the infrastructure and electricity grid of these countries is in desperate need of improvement, which generates significant medium and long-term opportunities for the sector.
